Black & White Flowers

Black & White nails are super eye catching. This simple design was made with a dotting tool. So if you are not the most artistic artist you can easily achieve this look.

Black & White Poka Dots ...Flowers Remix

Black and White Polka Dots are a classic nail  style that everyone still loves. I recently painted my nails using Gelish Gel nail polish and white  on white China Glaze for the dots. I received so many complements even though I did not patten the nails the dots were totally random. Since I wanted to update this look I thought it would be cool if added some pink flowers. Totally Cute.

The Princess of Polish : Pink Friday Roses

Pink Friday Roses

Smart , Talented, girl Woman Power is much appreciated at my house. So, Nicki Minaj is always on heavy play rotation while I'm painting my nails. A few months ago,  OPI teamed up with  Nicki Minaj to create a hot selection on nail polishes. Although, my bottles are almost empty  ( ugh) I was able to squeeze a little out for these cute nails.  I used Pink Friday for the roses and Did it on Em for the leaves. I used a blue Stripe Rite to fill in the sky and Out of the Door top coat.   I think this manicure would be really cute if clouds or dots were added to the sky. I think rhinestone's or glitter would be nice as well. I may even try this set with a variation on rose colors.

Caviar Manicure

Ciate's
Caviar Manicure

In May, Ciate released the Caviar Manicure System. I received a kit for my birthday and was excited  to give it a try. OMG! this manicure was so cute and easy to complete. The kit comes with easy to read directions in several languages. The kit included a  bottle of Ciate Paint Pot shade, Caviar pearls , tilt try and miniature funnel. I really appreciated that the directions were illustrated on the back of the box. I am a visual person. The steps are very easy, apply the Paint Pot Shade ( 2 coats) sprinkle "caviar" over the wet nails, press down pearls and let dry for 15-20 minutes. The included mini funnel is used to pour unused caviar beads back into the bottle. Ciate's Caviar Manicure was very easy to do yourself and looks so neat and professional. I love it . The pictures don't do this manicure justice. The box says that this manicure last 48 hours. I will update the post after that time. I know that its not cool to ask how much someone paid for a gift but, I had to find out for this blog. The Ciate Caviar Manicure is available at Sephora for $25.00. I am not sure how many manicures are in one bottle but, I know its well worth the price. To have a professional looking manicure you can do on your own.

Let me know what you think...the Princess of Polish.

Striped Nails

Get Your Strip On!

This week,I decided to dust off my Stripe Rite nails polishes and draw some fun multi- colored lines. When I looked a the pictures, I decided that they didn't do the nail design justice. These nails look HOT ( if I do say so myself)! The nails were super easy to paint using the Stripe Rite nail polishes. If you have not see these before they are nail polish with a long brush so you can draw lines. These polishes are available at Sally's Beauty Supply in tons of cute colors.

Nail Tip: when using nail strippers , I always take a piece of paper to swipe the brush on before applying the lines directly to my nails. Often when using various strippers the line will not be consistent. If you stripe on the paper first you will be able to test the thickness of the polish and strip.
Go ahead...Have fun.....Get your stripe on!

Hugs from the Princess....

Coach Shoes Inspired Nails

I love my flower printed Coach Shoes.I get so many complements when I wear them. So, I thought it would be cool to pay homage to the shoes by painting these Coach inspired nails. I used China Glazes white on white and liquid leather nail polish( I use a bottle of black and white each week). I painted the words and the flowers using a thin nail brush.

Manicure Tip: Painting your nails daily with clear polish will make your manicure last longer and look brighter.

Hugs, from the Princess of Polish.

Betsey Johnson inspired nail art

Betsey Johnson inspired Nail Art

So, who doesn't love Betsey Johnson ? She is soooooooooo amazing. I like her use of bright colors and exotic fabrics. I especially love her jewelry and handbags. I recently purchased a Betsey Johnson necklace for my daughter at Macy's in San Francisco. She adores it. I have been so inspired by this necklace. I thought that a Betsey Johnson inspired manicure would be really cute.

the manicure and the polish...
Thumb:I love Betsey nail ..I used China Galze's Liquid Leather & White on White. The Heart was painted using Pink Pearl by Entity. Index Finger: I used China Glaze's Liquid Leather on the nail plate and Classic Camel ( one of my new favorite colors)
for the heart. I used rhinestones on the heart as well ( B.J loves her bling). Middle Finger: I used China Glazes Liquid Leather and Pink Pearl by Entity for the Big Pink Lips. Ring Finger: I used Pink Pearl on the nail plate, black stripe rite and Spontaneous by China Glaze for the funky leopard print.
